Matthew 2
The Pilgrimage of the Magi
1Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
May the birth of your ministry, project, business bring wise men from far bearing gifts. May God give them your name your title and your importance so when they come they know exactly who you are and come to honor you in the right way.
2Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
In the Spirit your name and title is written on your star. But there are circumstances that will try to hinder your star from arising. But my bible says arise and shine for your light has come. The glory of the Lord is risen upon you. Your Star will surely arise.
3When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
Herod was troubled and all Jerusalem with him. There are crime syndicates in the Spirit that are troubled about your rising. Why will a whole Cartel of criminals be worried about the birth of one baby. That is why that accident tried to take you out but you survived, that drive by shooting tried to take you out but you survived, that drug overdose tried to take you out but you survived, Now turn to your neighbor and tell them … Go tell my enemies they better be scared because one will chase a thousand and two will case ten thousand … tell them we are coming to town, Firebrand is coming to town!!!
4And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.
Who is gathering intelligence about your movements? Who is gathering intelligence about your where about? I release spiritual viruses right now into all their systems. Let their systems crash and burn IJN
2 Chron 20:22
22And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.
As you shout now the Lord will release a spiritual virus to set an ambush agains Ammon, Moab and Mt Seir. And they shall be smitten.
Moses released viruses into the Nile that caused a super mutation in the frog populations that they increased tremendously
6And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.
7Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, inquired of them diligently what time the star appeared. 8And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.
Let all your helpers and wisemen be disconnected from the Herod fighting your destiny. People who seem to try to advise your helper concerning your life but their aim is to divert the resources. STORY OF TWO FRIENDS in AMI Who FOUGHT in the SERVICE.
9When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. 10When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
When they saw the star again, because the Star had disappeared, the star was manipulated by the powers that be.
Also it could have been that the wisemen left following the star and assumed that the King of the Jews will be born in the palace and so were set on going directly to the Palace. Dependence on the arm of flesh will fail us and delay us. They would have already made it to the place where they were headed but because they stopped depending on the direction of God. They were delayed.
But I come to tell you in this Christmas season your promotion, elevation, announcement will take people by surprise. The wise men were thinking he must have been born in the palace so they went to the Palace. But where was this King coming from? From the slumps of Nazareth. I have a mandate to let you know that God is preparing a stage for your next season, and when people see you they will not be able to reconcile you to your background. How can a King be born in a stable? They might ask, Baby its not about where I am coming from but where I am going. I just hope you hang around long enough to see what I will become, go tell my haters let them livelong and watch me prosper!
People would ask is this not the carpenter’s son? The one from Nazareth? They were baffled by the prowess of a seemingly simple ‘carpenter’s’ son. God is ordaining for you in this year a lifting that will make people to marvel. No background and demographic stratification will no longer limit you. Yes I was born in a manger, yes I didn’t have proper diapers on my first day on this earth, but that is just the beginning of my story and the Word says better is the end of a matter than the beginning thereof (Eccl 7:8). Do not be discouraged, and let your heart not be disheartened, Jesus started in a manger and ended up with the name that is above every other name, It doesn’t matter where you started, God is still in the process of writing your story. Hang with him and He’ll take you places you’ve never dreamed (Had to go Joel Osteen a lil bit on this one)
11And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
Who told them that he was supposed to be worshipped? Why did they not just greet him and carry him … oh cutie poopie pie he has his mother’s nose. But by divine revelation they were aware of who he is and how to address him.
People treat you carelessly and address you anyhow because they don’t know who you are in the spirit. Once you step into and begin to walk in the ordained destiny of who you are in the Spirit, people will address you as you are supposed to. Jesus was full of the Spirit from birth … for God giveth him the Spirit without measure.
They could sense an atmosphere when they came in that let them know who this child was in the Spirit. You are born with your destiny and your anointing in you. The problem is that growing up, our Parents don’t understand who we are and do not cultivate that gift, talent and skill in the realms of the Spirit so we end up loosing it and only later start trying to re-cultivate when we are grown. May we enter the fullness of our callings so the people God sends our way can honor us and release the resources God has put in their hands for us. In Jesus's Name.
12And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.
The Flight to Egypt
13And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.
Know that when Honor comes battles will also start coming. You must be ready and be in the Spirit. After every Spiritual Victory be ready for retaliation. Apst. JS will go on a 3 days fast after he has encountered Miracles Signs and Wonders in Crusades. Joseph could not relax after receiving the wise-men. He had to be keen in the Spirit. In Warfare, after you attack and win a battle you have to re-double your guard, for the enemy will seek retaliation.
14When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt: 15And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.
16Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men. 17Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying,
18In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.
You can imagine the number of casualties incurred because Jesus was born into this world. You must understand the power of your destiny. The devil is ready to murder innocent children in masses just so that hopefully you will be among. No wonder you sometimes have to deal with the warfare you are facing, no wonder you’re having to fend off spiritual attacks on your children. People in your surrounding are taking the hit because of the destiny God has put in you. That is why you cannot give up or throw in the towel. Joseph, Mary and Jesus could not, he had to pack up over night and flee to Egypt to go start life all over in a foreign land. But that is the price you have to pay for the greatness God has put on you. I encourage you today to rise up to the challenge knowing that we are not fighting for the victory, we are fighting from the victory and enforcing that victory.
19But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,
For the atrocities Herod committed Judgement was coming upon him. Not long after he slew these children his own death claimed him. We have to be careful how we especially treat little children. They are still very innocent and have a clean slate before God so God fiercely fights for them. Bible says Jesus was still a young child when Herod died and it was time to return so I imagine he might have been 3 or 4. That would qualify as a young child.
20Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child's life. 21And he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel. 22But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee: 23And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.
Joseph’s life was characterized by Angelic intervention and that is why he was able to preserve the life of one who will change the world forever. Your ministry has to be characterized by heavenly intervention and direction if you will preserve and prosper the work God has put in your hands.
