God of Fire; Generation of Fire

*Hebrews 12:29* New King James Version 29 For our God is a consuming fire.
*Ezekiel 1:27* New King James Version 27 Also from the appearance of His waist and upward I saw, as it were, the color of amber with the appearance of fire all around within it; and from the appearance of His waist and downward I saw, as it were, the appearance of fire with brightness all around.
*Ezekiel 8:2* New King James Version 2 Then I looked, and there was a likeness, like the appearance of fire—from the appearance of His waist and downward, fire; and from His waist and upward, like the appearance of brightness, like the color of amber.
In *Hosea 4:6* God tells us that “my people perish for lack of knowledge”, In Isaiah 5:13 similar words are echoed “my people are gone into captivity because they have no knowledge”. You can be the estranged son or daughter of a multi billionaire and mega magnate business mogul, but if no one tells you about this truth, you might be bound to roam the streets destitute and without a destiny for life! It is therefore important for us to understand certain attributes about God that are available for us to manifest. This will invariably empower us to live a God Dimension of Life upon the earth. The universe understands and knows the attributes of their creator, so if you, as a son and daughter of this creator, are able to tap into this dimension and level of God, you will effectively receive a commensurate level of submission wherever you go by reason of that dominion!
The writer of Hebrews seems to have come into a very close encounter with God because he begins to describe some intimate details of God that few people in the Bible experience. He said our God is a consuming/devouring fire.
The first interesting point here is that one of God’s attributes is Fire. Many people believe the writer of Hebrews is Paul. If that is the case, this will justify this conclusion. Because Paul says in *2 Cor 12:4* that he was caught up into the third heavens and heard of most definitely saw things that he could not utter. I believe one of his encounters was with God himself. And it must have baffled him that this personality is made up of fire! Well Ezekiel also had a similar encounter in which He saw and described God as made up of fire from his waist up and from His waist down. He saw God sitting on His throne and a fire coming from His person.
So by now we have established that God is Fire as seen by Ezekiel and also Paul. But He is not just a common kind of fire but a consuming fire! It is important to make that distinction because there are different kinds of fires for different purposes but there is a kind of fire that can consume anything it comes in contact with or encounters. I often think about the unrestrained power of magma and its ability to devour anything in its path. As a matter of fact let's consider these scriptures together;
*Psalm 97:3-5* New King James Version
3 A *fire goes before Him, And burns up His enemies round about*. 4 His lightnings light the world; The earth sees and trembles. 5 The *mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord*, At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
*Psalm 18:8* King James Version
8 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and *fire out of his mouth devoured*: coals were kindled by it.
Here the word of God begins to elaborate on the manifestations and the consequences of the fiery nature of God. We are made to understand that when God comes down into the earth, creation or universe, a Fire goes before him and round about him. Much like the magma referenced before, as this fire goes forth it just so happens that anything and everything can be consumed, devoured or melted in the presence of this Great God. Psalms 97:3 says His enemies are consumed all around him. Verse 5 of the same says the mountains melt like wax before the Lord. Psalms 18:8 even tells us that when he opens his mouth to speak, a fire comes out and devours and can even set coals on fire. Our God indeed is a consuming Fire! The story of Korah, Dathan and Abiram in Numbers 16 echoed by David in Psalms 106:16-18 justifies this. These are not just ideologies or imaginations concocted! When the rebelled against God’s instituted authority we see that a Fire came from the Lord and Devoured 250 of them. The enemies of the Lord were consumed, devoured, blazed by this Mighty and powerful God.
The most exciting part about this is that He has called us to walk with the same dimension of Fire that He is.
*Obadiah 17-18* King James Version
17 But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the *house of Jacob shall possess their possessions*. 18 And the *house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame*, and the house of *Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them* and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau; for the Lord hath spoken it.
Here you see that God has called you to be a Fire in your Generation! God of Fire, Generation of Fire! You have been ordained and destined to carry this same Fire. How does the house of Jacob possess their possessions? By manifesting the Fire God has ordained them to be. The House of Jacob shall be a Fire and the House of Joseph a Flame. Your home has to be ablaze with the Fire of God. Your children within your House have to be flames! Everyone in your home must be on Fire and a Carrier of Fire! When you encounter any Esau attempting to take your Birthright, Territories, Marriage, Business, Contracts, Ministry etc … What do you do? YOU LIGHT THEM UP ON FIRE! That is exactly what God does, He devours and consumes his enemies round about HIM. How does the fire come? When he opens his mouth he releases that Fire! So you have to make up your mind that there is no situation that will overcome you. Even the mountains begin to melt at his presence (Ps 97:5, Micah 1:4, Nahum 1:5, Isaiah 64:1-2). No obstacle, hindrance, impediment, blockage should ever stand before you again. Use your mouth to engage and release the Fire of God on any device of the enemy. You are a *GENERATION* of Fire Born of a *GOD* who is Fire. For that reason, I DECREE OVER YOUR LIFE THAT THIS FIRE WILL SURELY MANIFEST AND VANQUISH EVERY BATTLE THAT COMES YOUR WAY IN JESUS NAME!
